Dear Friend of St. Jude,

Sometimes it is easy to see why Jesus chose Peter as the foundation of our church. Although he certainly made some mistakes, as we all do, Peter was blessed with childlike faith, and he was always quick to show gratitude.

Jesus is transfigured in this week’s Gospel reading. As the only Apostle who speaks in this story, Peter says to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here.” I imagine Jesus looking down lovingly at Peter, smiling at his simple words and the deep gratitude they express. The Lord smiles as He beholds each of us, too. How do we respond?

We pray together:
St. Jude, as you are holy, I wish to be holy. Just as you and St. Peter learned from Jesus, I long to learn your way. Teach me gratitude for simple things. Amen.

Somebody told me that the song of wency cornejo I dedicated for my mom is not for moms. Anyway, I have chosen that song because I really love my mom…so much! Just like my sister who made a blog quoting that "Her mom(who is mine too) is her true love", I have chosen wency’s song too. Anyway, maybe this one is better…For Nanay:

I still have this dry cough but the good news… my xray is normal and my lung function test is good. This could be allergy, very stubborn cough(nakakahiya sa kapwa pag umuubo :)).

Yesterday’s article of Father San Luis is great. He is not just a wonderful priest but an amazing writer too. His articles are …moving…true…touching…meaningful…relevant…life changing. And what is really nice in his article is that it ends up with jokes How nice di ba? Thank you Father San Luis for sharing your wisdom and talent.

Another thing that amazed me is the program of the Kapuso channel about the election. If I am not mistaken, the program is called "Sa isa kong boto". This program will remind all of us Filipinos, about our duties this coming election, from the watchers to the voters. This program, I believe is a big help. The media is a powerful tool in brainwashing and influencing our people…to reengineer values. The kapuso channel’s commintment to serve the people with their motto "serbisyong totoo" is true. I can see how they help the Filipino people by reminding about values, helping the needy and the sick and appreciating good deeds of common people. I hope they continue the noble mission and intensify further, programs that will surely help the country. To my favorite tv station-MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA SERBISYONG TOTOO…
